Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list.Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen.
If you wish to replace it you must do this within 14 days from date of purchase, and you must return the system to what was originally installed:īe sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive. If it still doesn't work then return it to the place of purchase for repair or replacement. Be sure to try the drive in each USB port on the computer if you have more than one.
